I’ve been on a retreat in another country. I retreated from housework, grocery stores and dinner times. And laundry. I had long stretches of quiet, of reading, of conversations with my husband. Guests have kept The American Resident current. Sponsored posts during this quiet period have helped me pay for some bills. Thank you for your patience, readers.
I’ve done no writing (but a lot of note scribbling). Until now.
Even though I have only been a vague presence on The American Resident these past couple of months, I have been thinking a lot about this expat lifestyle blog. And I’ve been thinking about you, readers of this blog.
I’ve had an itch to Do Something Different with this space. Just so you know. The idea is still forming. It won’t be drastic, just different.
I want to keep it expat focused. I want to keep updating the expat pages that my statcounter tells me people find so useful. But in the posts I want to have a place to share my observations, which don’t always include parenting stuff so maybe this blog isn’t really about parenting anymore.
