Want to smell like The American Resident?

loccitane blog competition

Cute, isn’t it? It would make a lovely present for someone this Christmas–or for yourself!

One of my favourite scents is the L’Occitane Verbena range. It’s the air spray that I always keep in the downstairs loo, it’s the candle I always have in the living room, and the Verbena eau de toilet is what I love to wear in the summer. Verbena is a fresh, uplifting fragrance without being too citrusy or pine woodland (nice scents as well, but verbena is wonderfully different). It’s not exclusively summer but it enhances the warm summer breezes through our house. In the cooler months it keeps the house fresh even on the musty, grey days. This is not an ad for L’Occitane, I just love this scent!

This post is a combination thank you and competition.

It’s a thank you for supporting The American Resident and keeping this blog in the Circle of Moms Top 25 Top European Mum Blogs. In the past few weeks since arriving on that list I have seen my unique daily visits double. As a way of thanking you I’m hosting a competition to win a lovely L’Occitane gift pouch, full of gorgeous verbena scented delights! The pouch includes Shower Gel, Body Lotion, Extra Gentle Soap, and two Hand Creams. And the pouch itself, with it’s zip and waterproof material, would make a cute travel size make-up/toiletries bag.

This gift is provided by me, not L’Occitane and is from this season’s gift range.

All you have to do to enter is leave a comment below! Closing date and time for entries is midnight GMT on Wednesday 5th of December (Yikes! December already?!). I’ll use Random.org to choose the winner. I will email the winner and update this blog post with the winner’s name.

Two more important things!

1. As with all my competitions, I will post this gift anywhere in the world.

2. If you’re new to The American Resident, make a cup of tea and stay a while! For a whirlwind tour, check out this link: A Tour of The American Resident.

Hi Michelle, this is a lovely prize! You’d better not count me in the draw as I won last years (which I gave to my mum as she’d been an absolute star, helping me out when my son was poorly!). Just wanted to say, please re-post your fab post about quirky English Christmas traditions again this year for any newcomers to your blog, I love it, especially the part about the crackers!

  3. Ooh, sign me up! I love lemon verbena. And congrats on the Top 25 placement!

I’ve recently won TWO blog competitions, so I think I’m bound to win this, as my lucky run continues to three. Don’t disappoint me now, will you?

I was hoping someone would find it funny, but until now everyone is being politely quiet about it ;) Oh, Very Bored in Catalunya thought I was going to start my own perfume line, but other than that, tumbleweeds!

I just found your wonderful blog. I am moving to Scotland in a few days to be with my new husband and will need to read what everyone has to say about being an expat.

Many thanks! I will have to try some of this wonderful scent once I am at home there!!!! L’Occitane Verbena!!!
